About Me
Therapy, to me, is more than just a session—it’s a meaningful pause in your busy life where you can truly exhale, be seen, and feel heard without judgment or pressure.
I’m passionate about helping clients work through personal and relationship challenges, and I genuinely believe therapy has the power to change lives in meaningful ways.
I bring warmth, empathy, and genuine curiosity to each session, working alongside you as a collaborative partner in your healing journey. My approach is rooted in connection, authenticity, and deep respect for your unique story. Together, we’ll create a safe, supportive space where you can explore, reflect, and grow at your own pace.
Why I Became a Therapist
My path to becoming a therapist started early. Growing up, my family was a foster family, and I saw firsthand how deeply people are impacted by trauma, change, and emotional disconnection—but also how much healing is possible with the right support. That early exposure shaped my belief in therapy as a powerful tool for growth and resilience.
Like many of my clients, I’ve also experienced anxiety and I’ve been in therapy myself. I know how hard it can be to reach out for support, and how transformative it can be when someone truly listens and understands.
How I Work
I graduated from Brandman University (now known as UMass Global) with a Master of Arts in Psychology, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling. I’m nationally certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trained in various modalities, allowing me to tailor each session to your unique needs.
As a Latina therapist, I specialize in helping first-generation, BIPOC adults navigate the weight of intergenerational trauma, anxiety, and depression—with empathy, awareness, and genuine connection. Whether we’re working through anxiety, trauma, depression, or relationship challenges, I approach each session with sensitivity, curiosity, and respect.
I believe in the power of authenticity in the therapeutic process. My strength lies in being true to myself and my clients. I don’t pretend to have all the answers, nor do I shy away from addressing difficult topics. I am genuine and transparent, committed to fostering a space where clients can experience openness, honesty, and acceptance.
My practice is inclusive and affirming; I welcome clients from all backgrounds, identities, and experiences. I’m especially dedicated to supporting the Latinx and LGBTQIA+ communities with compassion and cultural awareness.
What You Can Expect
I’m not your mom’s therapist and that’s intentional. Therapy with me is collaborative, down-to-earth, and rooted in real connection. I’m here to help you do meaningful work, not just check boxes.
In our work together, you can expect:
A judgment-free space to explore what’s on your mind
Real conversations and strategies tailored to your life
Honest, human connection grounded in trust and empathy
A therapist who shows up fully and invites you to do the same
Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’re returning after a break, I’ll meet you with care, curiosity, and a deep respect for your lived experience.
More Than a Therapist
Outside of sessions, I’m someone who finds joy in the little things and the big adventures. I’m a big fan of thriller, horror, and suspense movies (the spookier, the better!), love curling up with a good book, and I absolutely love, love, love Halloween—it’s my favorite holiday! When I’m not working, I’m off exploring the world with my husband, our two boys, and our two dogs—who love to pop into sessions and say hi!
Lately, I’ve been diving deeper into tarot reading, which has become a personal way for me to reflect, recharge, and stay grounded. These passions help me stay connected to myself, and I bring that same sense of curiosity and presence into my work with clients.
I also host the Psyched Tea podcast, where I talk with other mental health professionals about therapy, pop culture, and everything in between, but with a psychoeducational twist!
Let’s Talk.
